Location of Satellite hookup in 135

On another thread, someone posted that all the 1 series cars were Sat-ready, meaning that they were pre-wired from the sharkfin antenna to the trunk for easy install of a satellite box.

I was wondering if anyone knew where in the car this wiring is accessible in the 1 series (I haven't received mine yet, but want to get parts ready for the install).

For reference, see this post here from a 335 (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...2&postcount=68). What I'm looking for is the SMB connection so that I can hook up a XM radio that I already have without having to use the micro-antenna

Thanks in advance!

I think so, sattelite radio unit goes into one of empty slots above, but which wire from those harnesses is responsible for antena? It is the big question.

on the 3 series, according to the posts, its the 2-connection pink one.

Car should be arriving today, I'll take a look at it tonight.

in one of those two wire bundles (covered with velcro), there should be a pink SMB antenna connector along with a MOST bus connector for sat rad. The other bundle with have more wires/connectors for bluetooth, BMW assist etc.

Personally, I got a 15 ft antenna extension cable and all you have to do is plug it right into that pink smb connector. If anyone would like i can take pics to show of the correct connector.

The satellite module goes in the left hole in the picture above.
