001-450 to 450-450 UK plaque
Sometime ago a UK owner had approached BMW to find out which place his 1M came off the assembly line and was able to find this unique number out of the 450 cars.
Can anyone remember who posted this? Do you think BMW would divulge this information giving each position by VIN number? Would be good to be able to commision a plaque similar to the ones the Canadians are trying to produce. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/attac...6&d=1330972652 I know someone that can produce these plaques. Any ideas? Last edited by Jezzer; 03-06-2012 at 04:26 PM.. |

Good find, so it looks like BMW UK can only give a number by cars as they were registered in UK instead of by build date in Germany. Would BMW in Germany give this information by build date instead?
Do you think they are more likely to give this information to a 1M UK club register? |

I think that whatever they will or won't give, they'll only give information to the registered keeper...

I'll be very surprised if that was anything other than a confused BMW CS rep - no-one has ever heard of / seen one / got one, right?

All I received in the post from BMW was an additional leather booklet with a number of slips inside for all my paperwork and receipts, no certificate........

I think it would be best if owners approach BMW CS individually and tell them we are part of the 1M club that want to produce this plaque and collect this information that way. Could ask them to contact Germany for the build info. We can only ask.

2012 1M's
J
I collected mine on 3rd March on a 12 plate. Dealer told me that there were 2 unregistered UK Cars left but that dealerships could "hide" cars by showing them as DO on their system, apparently that's Dealer Owned. I saw a few registered on 61 Plates but reckon there won't be more than a handful of 12's in the UK. Enjoy your car! S |
