Scott26, please explain yourself!

Is it just me or has others noticed that Scott26 is using the rendering of the white 1M CSL as his avatar? Are you trying to tell us that the 1M CSL is real and that it will have 332kw??? If so I am ditching my GT3 for one! Ok maybe not, but I will buy one no matter what I ditch or keep!

It is not intended to be a CSL . It is a 1M Coupe in Alpine White with M Stripes. There is no budget for a one-off lightweight model especially with this car close to the end of it's production life.

What could not be instigated this time around will definetely happen with the next generation, and there are a lot of proposals for the 1M put back on the shelf for later, unfortunately there is no time and budget allocation to conceive them.

So one can order the same stripes?

and Scott, when you said "the Proposal to put 1M back on the shelf" you mean this E82 1-Ser or the next generation?

taking what Scott said and Jonsibal's blog, CSL/GTR might be in the next 1M/M2..

...back on the shelf...

I'm assuming he meant that a lot of proposals for 1M "special editions" were put on the shelf for the next generation, not the current generation 1M itself.

Scott26

Any chance their might be a "stripe package" offered with the current 1M similar to the pic?

Thanks,
Leif W.

Scott can you speak on N54 engine and hpfp? In terms of the culprit of the problem and why it has taken 3-4 iteration of pump redesign yet some owners are still experiencing the problem. If possible I'd also like to know how susceptible will the 1M N54 be to this same issue. What's the official/unofficial word?

Thanks Scott. Sadly I wished your answer was that you would be producing the 1M CSL! Anyway, here's hoping for something hardcore anyway for the next generation 1M. There is definitely a market out there amongst the high end car buyers who would pay higher than M3 money for a 1M CSL.

yes.. it's clear that BMW is enamored with special editions...

the current generation M3 has at least three already.

Frozen Gray
GTS- (in orange)
Tiger Edition
Monte Carlo Blue

In the US market.. the 335 is and the E46 ZHP...

Sauber Edition 135 in Europe etc...

I would anticipate more of these in the future, particularly when there is a full life cycle with which to support rollouts of special models.
