I would not said it's inaccurate remember that at some point you told us to expect nothing over 360ps but I wasn't expecting something at 340ps on the other hand!

I understand the point that alot of person are complaining about the N54. Even if the 1M was originally suppose to have a twin turbo version of the N55 I can pass over it. Idem for the high reeving I meant turbocharging is the future of M and I can understand this also. But for the HP number there are no excuses I was really expecting something between 350-360bhp when I put the deposit down and a unique engine from M not an engine with 335hp(witch you can get with the performance pack on the 135i) who came directly from bmw AG. That was my point there.

You quoted Scott when you made the point about HP. I'm just saying that it may not be a valid assumption that Scott's comment was just addressing HP.

I took his comment to mean that BMW management have no regrets about the N54 engine choice. Furthermore, as far as we know, it could exceed expectations once out on the market, particularly in light of tuning options.

Why not reserve judgement until after the car is released? Just saying...

EXACTLY. The people who have actually driven the car so far really have been raving about it. Can't argue with that. Keep your judgements until you drive one yourself.
