radio aerial for e88
I was washing the e88 the other day and I noticed that the rubber base of the stock radio aerial was badly cracked. When you flexed the antennae base, it was exposing the metal core of the aerial. The last thing I need is water making it's way down to some of the electrical boxes.
Where is a good place to either purchase a stock replacement or a good aftermarket? The stock aerial looks fine considering it's fairly short to begin with, but I would consider a shorter one. I do listen to the radio from time to time, so being able to use the radio is a must and I know some of the shorter antennas can limit signal strength. |

Mine was the same when I bought our car. I replaced it with this one:
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...m/65202296761/ I haven't noticed any reception problems.

This is the one I bought:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Reception is if anything better. It's too early to tell about how long it will last but the price is at least low.

Based on recommendations, I've ordered the one from ECS tuning. Should be here in a few days along with a new console tray to replace the smokers package ash tray...

What failed on my original antenna was just the rubbery coating. It may make sense to get one that is powder coated or anodized so there is not coating to fail.
