Definitely not a must, but nice to have. It can augment the look of your car (if done correctly), improve your comfort during hot, sunny days, and decrease the UV damage to your interior.

window film tinting is popular nowadays, can be easily done with a variety of tints/colors, and is available with high solar rejection properties. why get stuck with only black rears while you can have a choice

you misunderstood. I mean you can apply tinting film on the same rear glass as it comes from the dealer, and you still have a choice to remove it back to clear glass again.

Hi, yes you're right. We can apply tinted foil to the rear windows. But the intensity in germany is regulated. You for example cannot apply a very dark black foil. That's what i meant.
