I'll be doing it myself as its not much work to fit a fmic. Just was asking how much was needed to be cut out as if I return car back to stock will it be noticeable if I sell it later.

I would never return it to stock as the stock unit is absolute rubbish to the highest degree

I wouldn't use it as a door stop

But yes it would be noticeable if you did, I'm not going to sugar coat it to make a sale

But any stepped aftermarket cooler you use will be the same

There is a fair bit of work to fit one of these not just a bolt in

There's not too much trimming that needs to be done but any 7" stepped will require some trimming. The bumper doesn't need to be cut at all, it's only the fan shroud, so if you return it to stock, nobody will ever know unless they actually get under the car, remove the under tray and then start poking around.

You can get 5" stepped FMICs that don't require trimming (VRSF) if you don't want to cut the fan shroud. I have a 5" stepped BMR that didn't require any cutting whatsoever and slotted right in. But with that being said, they're not as good as the Wagner which is undoubtedly the best FMIC you can get for these cars.

If you're serious about getting an upgraded FMIC, this is a really good opportunity to get the best at a good price without having to wait for shipping from the other side of the world.

The best is the jd75/jdtuning one that Marty now has. There are some interesting results on the other forum [Admin Notified]....

the wagner evo comp 2 doesnt require any fan shroud trimming but some apron trimming is required

the easiest way to do it neatly is to remove the front bar which takes 15 min
and trim away, its by far the best way not to damage anything
