@ the test driver and/or his camera friend:
Dear folks, As we know by now, you recently got the chance to test drive, c.q. street race, the 1M and you definitely seemed to like it. So it is the right time to purchase the one you are now familiar with: the 1M you drove. No need to call around numerous dealerships in vain, unlike lots of car enthusiasts clamoring to get hold of the 1M. No need to order and wait anxiously for one. The one you drove is available as we speak. Only issue still to tackle is the price: how much over MSRP? Tell your dealership that $40K over sticker is a bit over the top. $35K over sticker should be an acceptable deal for you. Get an insurance for road assistance. Good value: return on investment sooner than you might expect. Early engine replacement should not be a major concern for you: true, materials are expensive and fully at your expense due to your highly demanding driving skills (void warranty), but for sure the dealership you are working for (c.q. used to work for) can make you a good price for the labor costs. Enjoy your 1M! P.S.: if you are looking for an interesting read: try the 1M manual. |

1. I personally apologize if anyone was somehow offended even though I specifically stated it was not that sort of accusation and simply to gain accuracy to make sure and get the right person. I guess ethnicity is a sensitive topic for you. Sorry I'll never bring it up again.
2. AWESOME that we got so much information! How'd the name Nick come up? and Is he still employed? Last edited by DooBs; 08-17-2011 at 01:16 PM.. |

That's awesome you called them up but I am suspicious of their story. I am sure they did ABSOLUTELY, nothing, no checks, not even a wash to the car. Why would they. The car is fine. An unsuspecting buyer will never be able to tell the difference just by driving the car. The crux of the story is disclosure. If Pacific BMW informs potential buyers of the incident most of the folks here won't be as up-in-arms about it. Just like few guys won't mind their fiance doing a 50 men gb right before marriage as long as she was honest about it

I am sure you click on the wrong link from filedropper site. Doesn't seem like the video was downloaded.

I don't know, I click filedropper to download the file and it says its done in like a fraction of a second and only like 305 KB. Something is messed up. I am spending way too much time on trying to see this video.

you're not missing much... just some douche dealer employee redlining a new 1m a few times, chirping tires etc. through residential streets. the video does need to find its way back to youtube, though, as apparently this format is nowhere near as accessible.

Anyone looking for "exciting" opportunities, or perhaps a sign-on bonus?

Now if they will only crosslink it to Gizmodo, it will really explode.
