I don't think anyone is claiming they have the grip levels of some of the other tires mentioned in this thread. But they do last a good bit longer than, say, an S04. Decent daily driving summer tire if treadwear is a factor and you're not seeking ultimate performance.

Exactly. It's not an ultimate grip tire, but it never claimed to be. Just depends on what you want out of the tire. For spirited driving on the street, longer wearing/lasting, decent wet performance, decent price and relatively consistent performance over the lifespan, it's a good choice.

Just like a suspension/brakes/everything else, there's always compromise, no one answer to all requirements
