Reg says you have to be a club member to drive the track. Did that change? Please update the Reg site to reflect this.

Last time I looked the membership information is already on their registration pages for all events. Membership is $20 for one year. As long as I've driven with them, over 20 years, yearly membership has been required.

Hi 192cobra. Im planning to run at this event but it will be in my 3000GT. Usually I run Road America with midwest domestics (formerly mfba) but they had to cancel this year. How are the Shelby Club guys?

Their events usually sell out so I guess that says a lot about how they manage their events. This year will be their 42nd summer event at Road America so they have been around longer than most anyone out there. I know when Midwest Domestics couldn't hold the event the first call Road America made was to Northwoods. I see cars from all over the country at their summer event. A few years ago I met a group of Porsche owners, 10 to 15 cars, that came all the way from the east coast to run with them. Last year they had Ferrari challenge teams running. The Porsche group comes back every year.

Just an FYI, they just sent out an email last week about early registration ending this Friday night, the 31st. After Friday a $50 late registration fee will be added to all registrations.

Sounds like a good group. Those privateers are willing to get track time whenever they can. There was a Ferrari Challenge team from San Diego out at Mid Ohio last year with the Auto Interests track day.

Are you going to be making this event then? Thanks for the FYI I need to register still.
