I had helped do some 225F v. 245F testing on a BS S2000 that year, and the 245 was SUBSTANTIALLY faster and easier to drive, even on a 7in wheel.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll try the 255 square setup and just found a H&R 27mm front sway bar for sale locally that I'd like to pick up. That should hopefully make me a little more competitive in FS than I was this past season on stock runflats!

Hey everyone im finally going to start putting my car through some track days and auto cross events and have a tire question.

Currently just have stock wheels running PSS in the rear 255/35
and stock run flats on the front 225/40

going to get some new fronts next week and would like to bump up to 235/40 but they come in .4" taller than the rears will that cause any problems?

Better to just stick with 225/40 until i get bigger wheels?

not trying to be super competitive just out to have fun but if i can mount up a little more width up front obviously that would be ideal.

Thanks in advance

You shouldn't have any problems with the 235s up front. If you're stock height, you could even go up to a 245/35 if you want to. I ran that for a couple autocross events last year with no rubbing or any other issues. It definitely helped make the car handle more neutral.

I was thinking about it from a roll out stand point, i have tcklien s/a coilovers so ride height shouldnt be a problem, just didnt know if the face that they are taller than the rear tires would make it drive funny in any way

If anybody wants any of the following, they're all up for grabs:

Vorshlag Camber Plates, only test fitted (currently have 60mm perches for them, but other perches are very cheap to buy new).

Active Autowerke Headers

328i SULEV Aluminum Calipers

Forgestar F14 17x9 ET35F / ET50R. Could bundle 245 Rival S 1.5s into the deal if someone wanted them.

Also have a custom rear section exhaust (everything after headers, burns stainless merge, 3in race cat, resonator, v-banded rear section with two different mufflers, 5min swap between them, the larger muffler is nearly stock on the street, even the race muffler is very streetable). I'd need a stock 128 exhaust (a small amount of the OE piping was used to make this, the bend right off the header), so mine was destroyed in the process, but only a couple hundred bucks + the stock exhaust is fine.

Front 27mm adjustable SuperPro bar, Hotchkis Endlinks.

Eventually I'll also have the Diffsonline custom 3-clutch diff for sale and the 20mm rear bar, but that's more of an ordeal to remove so may take a bit as my garage is presently fully taken up prepping other cars.

Everything on here will be sold pretty much at fire-sale prices.
