1 year anniversary

so i've had my car for almost a year now and it only has 5000 miles. Do I get a free oil change at 1 year or do I have to wait till I hit 15k miles?

The 15,000 mile figure is meaningless.

Your first free oil change comes when you either have zero miles on the dash countdown or one year has elapsed since you took delivery. Since it is the latter, call your dealer to set up an appointment.

Your 1 yr anniversary is a free oil service...i had mine done at 9000 miles. They even said if i hit 15000 miles in a few months then it's free again.
