Chris, you drove your car on the ragged edge you should pick up some r-comps now

Alex, those are solid numbers for your setup but you should be able to carry a bit more speed in the turns. Chris just proved this point

Keep in mind Kori though I do have coil overs and camber plates They do help quite a bit. Alex though going to a full race pad makes worlds of difference...Make the swap and you'll be sooo happy you did. Cool Carbons are a great street pad but they have nothing on the track compared to the hawks.

Alex man do the track day swap it's worth the 30 mins it takes to do the swap. I drove for a couple weeks with the hawks on the street. They are fine if you can live with the squealing lol oh and the dust too.

True. I ran much faster laps in my last session because I could see Chris in front of me, which showed me I could enter turns that fast.

Wow - well you guys (Chris and Gary) have got me scarred! I'm hoping with stock pads, stock rotors, and bent splash shields, things will stay cool enough to prevent burned boots.
Very interested to see pictures of those rotors.

Kori - what pad/rotor combination were you running?

Also true. With Cool Carbons, I was terrified on turn 1, by far the weakest part of my driving. With DTC30s I was fearless and it became the strongest part of my driving. DTC30 is about 50% more friction than Cool Carbons, and DTC70 is about 150% more than Cool Carbon.

I know I have way more braking power than I do tire grip. With rcomps I could brake past the cone I'm sure!!!

Joe, I am running ferrodo ds2500 with performance rotors, .5mm TI shields and castrol SRF. I am too lazy to swap pads. I feel I have maxed out my braking capabilities at this point but nothing has been cooked YET! next step is cold air ducting

I've ridden with lots of instructors who had race pads and r-comps. In cars like that Ive been amazed by the stopping power for turn 1 and the grip in turn 10, though I don't believe r-comps will make me fearless in turn 10.

I asked the Induktion guys who have my car to look for a way to route ducting, but I've got a wide intercooler and an air filter in the way.

Chris, we should be able to cutout the under tray to find space for routing. are you planning to cut out a hole in the dust shields?

Have any of you guys used Performance Friction Pads, specifically PFC01s? Looking to see how they compare to my DTC-70/60 combo

I don't think it's available for our brakes.

adding: Grassroots did a brake pads test a few months ago. PFC01 beat DTC70/HT10 by a fraction. They wondered why Hawk didn't send them DTC70 rears and speculated that might win.
