According to a CA I spoke to yesterday, there were 184 1Ms on order and 124 of them in production. He mentioned that all were sold except for 6 that had a designation of a dealership demo. Most of the 6 dealerships were located in Cali.

Open allocation(s) in DC area...
Just talked my salesperson in the DC area....This dealership is getting 8(4 more than I thought) allocations and 15 people are on the list. 1/2 have not put down actual deposits just a name. I think only 5 have put $$ down and it might be possible to slide down on this list. PM me directly and i'll give her contact info to you; she knows the details...The whole name on list/ who's locked in/ who's not she'll have the details.
The are staying at the MSRP price...No markups... |

United BMW of Gwinnett and Roswell in Georgia are expecting 8 allocations as well, 4 for each dealership.
They have a waiting list of 8 deep, all with deposits down, but you can try. Ask for Tolli, she was really helpful. |

Can't PM yet. If you could drop me a line, I'd appreciate it. I'm in line somewhere else and hoping for an allocation to open up.

Thanks CJwee! I'm now their #6 with a $1k refundable deposit. Very professional to deal with. I'll keep my #2 deposit on an unconfirmed allocation in Savannah for now, but I'm feeling a lot more confident about getting a car this morning. Thanks!

FWIW, I was told by a regional rep that the 2012 WILL be made. There is an emissions law change between 2011 and 2012 which is why all of the current 1Ms are still being called 2011 models. BMW is tweaking whatever needs to be done to match the new 2012 testing guidelines.
If you check the EPA's site, the new guidelines cover 2012-2016 vehicles. |

Well, if that's the case. There will be a lot of foolish people out there. I sincerely hope that is the case so I can stop jumping through these ridiculous hoops to get this car.

Agreed. Anyone paying over MSRP had better plan on keeping their car for 10 years or they're going to be in for a rude awakening when they go to sell.
