Thanks for uploading. I had no problem downloading, then again I have a mac so spyware's not a problem. Not trying to start a flame war, just a fact.

The brochure doesn't look like it was put together with the greatest care, but none the less the car looks amazing and it seems we draw closer to information to be set in stone.

If this is Terracotta, I cant seem to find a single current model on BMW's website that offers it. They have a "saddle brown" and and "terra brown", but nothing that looks like this. I like this color. It sort of reminds me of the burnt orange leather you can order on the Nissan 350z. With gray poplar and certain exterior colors I think this color would look real neat.

^ I would never order it myself, but I dont think it would look bad with Graphite exterior...

Hopefully, though, we'll get terra...

Found some better pics of what Terra looks like, for entertainment purposes:

This does look closer to the swatch in the 1 series catalog. I think the topmost pic gives a very clear view of the color. Not a huge fan myself, so if this is what the actual color will be in the 1 series I'll probably just go with black. If we get the terracotta orange I might have to do something a little crazy.:iono:

I saw it at the dealer in a 335i sedan yesterday. It's a nice clay brown color - definitely tasteful, for brown.

That being said, it's not for me.

Headlight washing system a standard on the 135i?? Are we 100% sure, I didn't see that in any of the "Ultimate" posts... although I could have missed it.

I have a nearly fully loaded '05 M3, and the car did not come with auto headlight washers (THANK GOD!)

Does BMW usually offer a delete option on these washers? Maybe there is an aftermarket mod to (resistor of sorts) to delete its function.

How annoying to spary soapy water all over the front of your car when it has recently been cleaned, if you only want to wash some grim off the windshield only.

EDIT: The 3er & 5er have headlight washer only with cold weather package. The 6er and 7er get headlight washer standard. The X3/X5 get headlight washers only with cold weather, not as standard... just like the 3er and 5er.

This leads me to believe that the 128/135 will get the headlight washer systems only with the optional cold weather packages.

Well if you're car is sparkeling clean and the weather is nice, why would you want to use the windshield sprayers either? If you're driving in bad weather and the car is already dirty, then I dont see what the big deal is. You can remove the fuse to disable the function though.

But if you're picking up enough road grime to need the windshield washer... chances are your headlights are pretty dirty too. I know I would like the option of cleaning them off without stopping

I know personally the headlight washers would drive me crazy if a bird poops on my windshield I don't want to not wash it off worrying about my whole front end getting waterspots.

To tell you the truth, I can easily count on one hand the amount of times I've used the windshield washers on my car. Nearly 20k miles and I have a nearly full tank of fluid. I'm not a fan of the system, but it's a necessity when say a group of geese drop 17 pounds of presents on you during highway driving (true story, sounded and felt like bricks when landing on the car... kinda funny now that I think about it)

I prefer to take some paper towels and windex to wash anything on my windshield than have soapy, dirt-mixed water run down my car and driver side window. I keep my car in absolute mint condition, it's my nature.

I'm certain that the 1 series will not have the headlight system as a standard, but instead as an option inlcuded wit the cold weather package.
Check for yourself which of the BMW lines it standard vs. option, and you will see why.

Even if it does become a standard, it wouldn't be too hardto disable the system safely like Drill said.

Thanks for posting the PDF! I didn't have popups, but then Netcaptor seems to block most of that crap.

The headlamp washers will only go on, if you hold the wiper cleaner stalk for a few seconds. Otherwise, it just cleans the windshield.

Any other headlamp washer system I've used only operates whenthe headlights are on - just flick em off for a couple seconds, wash the windshield, and then turn them back on.

Or - don't use them at speed. They're designed to account for LOTS of airflow, so if you use them when you're at a traffic light, obviously they're going to spray a little high. Why don't you try reaiming them with a needle. or pin, like they do at the dealer?

Sheeeeesh, you guys are like a bunch of old women.

The catalog has too many sloppy mistakes to be real.

I'm betting it's a fake.

I'm starting to think the same thing. Also, has anyone else in the country gotten one? Kind of odd that only one person on the entire 1 addicts site has received. I hope it isn't though!

It's part of the reason why in many car comparisons BMWs seem to fare well in acceleration contests, why "german" horses seem to be stronger than their Japanese counterparts.
The brochure specifies "Unladen weight", so I believe you're wrong.
