i was wondering how these three products would compare. the camaross hids, the lux, and the BREX.

I dunno how people do their comparison but I do them by actually having products and giving my feedback. Seeing it in person is diff than pic. Pics can be munipulated from certains Angles and lightings. There were vendors out there with deceiving pics.... That's all I know.

I do look fwd to seeing these but I love the HIDs brightness!

The top two heavyweights are the camaross HIDs and the LUX.

Anyone have info/pics of the camaross HID? I haven't seen those.

Edit: nevermind, found 'em. These were the ones where the housing didnt seal properly right?

+1.

I know people who tried both on their e90s, and it seems to be a toss up between the two. It could be a different story on our 1 series because our angels light up differently than theirs and the camaross HIDs is technically still a 3 series product although it's compatible in other models within the BMW family like ours.

Its a pain in the *ss with the seal i have to agree. A true plug and play like Brex would be great. I survived without bright *ss lights before but now that I have it... its actually quite convenient. I do really like the fact that HIDs are extremely bright and is by far the best out there in terms of lighting both rings...

Looks like LUX will def challenge that and I am excited about new products. Looks very promising and hopefully at a good cost for all of us!

I will continue with my HIDs until these LUX are for sale. Then I will probably jump on board and see if I like em.

HIDs are dangerous if u don't cut right with the seals and the installation can be challenging. So I agree with Bullit and that a plug and play would be far better!

Yeah I'm leaning towards the LUX now. I had the EFX, but I swapped back to stock because they were so uneven. I really like the idea of having the HIDs but I cant have it unsealed...i already had to have the adaptive headlight replaced on the passenger side because it wasnt sealed (i lost one of the metal clips) and moisture got in there.

I look forward to seeing my pics of the LUX bulbs.

True that...

But since we are comparing to quality... I didn't think that applied

Was the install for the HIDs hard? It looks like it was and I'd be nervous doing it myself lol and I dont know where I could take it to have it done right. I think once the LUX are released and there are more pictures, I will make my decision. It looks like now its between the HIDs and the LUX.

It was hard for me since I didn't know what I was doing. I do think its a lot easier if it was straight up plug and play. I love to be able to get my hands on LUX and just do a straight up side by side comparison but that will be UP to the seller if that can be achieved. I was going to install LUX on one side and HIDs on the other...

I love to purchase a set for myself. Please PM me if you can. I don't have the best of cameras but I have tried out almost every AE so I like to think I can give an unbiased review.

I'd love to see a side by side comparison. That would make my decision so much easier.
