not sure where to go next ive tinted the headlights and rear lights, blacked out the kidney grills, fitter a spoiler, fitted new alloys, changed the head unit to an android touchscreen. not sure if i should lowwer it or remap it next or if at all.

A little 9:45pm oogling at a new part that is NLA...

My engine bay (and the exterior of my car) is disgusting.

I may also be selling an N55 JB4-B with lots of accessories soon.

I installed my rear spoiler today. Fit and finish were great considering the price!

Looks good... I like color matched spoilers.

Did you use double sided tape or an adhesive like BMW Betalink?

I used the 3M tape on mine, so that it’s more easily reversible. Granted, my spoiler is black, which may hide any gaps a bit better than a color matched one.

Installing my Boca spoiler. Super stoked. Took off my OEM spoiler yesterday. I honestly thought the residue was going to be a B to take off. I mean, it was! But thank goodness for fishing lines and 3M adhesive remover.

Never did it myself, but I think most people do what you did and use the 3M double sided tape, or something equally as good. I think I might be a little nervous that it could come off easy, like in the pic below, though I don't remember hearing of them being ripped off before, but that's what happened in this case.

I picked up some of the 3M black tape that my friend at a body shop uses for attaching trim pieces.

You get only one chance with it as that stuff locks down tight and immediately!

Plus he told me to do it in numerous smaller pieces instead of long strips like some do. It makes sense since you have more places gripping if one piece were to let go.

That sounds like a good idea, to use small pieces instead of long pieces. It looks like long pieces, or one long piece, in my pic above. Also, it looks like he didn't get the tape all the way to the ends, which gives someone (the thief) a place to grab hold and pull.

Bought fueling upgrades. Going from stage 2 to stage 3. Single 450 bucket to dual 450 bucketless.
I think I'm going to regret this and may just kill myself. I don't mind fixing/upgrading many things on this car. But this stupid fuel system is where my last nerve ends. The last time I was in there I told myself that was it, I'm done. Doing the filter/regulator was a complete PITA.

IF,
I where a smart man I'd drop the tank to do this and at the same time install my other rear subframe.

But I'm an idiot and love to do things the hard way and three times at least.

While they were painting the wheels I wire brushed and polished the front and rear hubs and heat proof clear coated them as well.
Really happy with the way the wheels came out, tired of seeing black wheels everywhere. Also added some new air caps.

VHT Graphite against my Space Gray car.

There are two pieces of plastic trim fitted under the front bumper of our cars which seem to serve two purposes:

1) to deflect airflow away front the front tires and reduce underbody drag
2) to scrape on every driveway and speed bump to remind you you're driving a sports car.

Today I removed them.

good riddance.

Possibly the best advice to give on these spoilers a single strip once started to peel is easy to finish peeling but multiple points of contact just makes it that much more secure

Got the car out to the track at WGI this weekend! Weather was...not ideal. Snowed the first half of both days. Got some decent sun late in the afternoon on Saturday to dry things out, was able to feel the tires get *some* warmth in them and put down some decent (and consistent!) laps. Put a E93 M3 front swaybar in over the winter, I think it has really helped to reduce the push I was getting before.

Also had a couple 40min sessions, and I'm pretty sore today. I think new seats might be next on the list...

Spent all day yesterday installing my new Öhlins coilovers. Total pain in the butt, but SO worth it. It's got more of a T R U C C stance to it. That said, I can go the speed limit over a speed table in my neighborhood and not hit the stops, and barely feel it in the process. The ride quality and control is uncanny... I'll have a full review and good pics in a few weeks.

Let it sit for a bit and man, you will love that setup! I saw you got uprated Swifts on all fours, great! What spring rate and length did you use for the rears if you don’t mind me asking? Do you have camber plates and M3 arms as well? Thats the sweet spot as far as susp combos are imho. I have them in mine!

how much thicker is the M3 sway bar? I'm going to assume it's a direct swap? Do you also need to swap out the bushings and end links?

7" 70N/mm front and 9" 160N/mm rear. I have dinan plates up front, as well as M3 front control arms, and the M3 rear guide rods and upper control arms. It needs some adjusting as the back is sitting WAY too high for my tastes, and the Ohlins recommended damper settings are a little too stiff for the street. I'm really liking them so far. The car really needs an alignment though (I let an eccentric bolt move without marking it) which will be a convenient time to replace my tie rods.

I run the stock Ohlins rear springs and man they’re too soft. Just never had the budget at the time of install to buy uprated Swifts for the rear. Plus me being lazy I guess. I do plan to get the one with p/n Z65-228-120. I believe this is 12 kgf/mm.

For me the stock dampening settings were ok, but I drove my car usually on smooth back roads or highways only. Did you have issues with clearing your front tire/wheel? I believe you’re running 17s though so you’re safe from the headaches of trying to make that work.

Hey btw could I pick your brain on running those F30 335i calipers upfront? I believe itwas you who recently installed this setup. I plan on doing that same thing, see if it’s a good track setup. Planning to do a few this year and just want to set it up so I can at least get a few more runs without the stock brakes fading. What do you think about bias? Did you have to tinker with coding that brake mod at all? We can PM/email if you don’t mind that.

The Ohlins rears are WAY too soft, especially if you have M3 or solid subframe bushings in the back. I originally planned to do an Ohlins rear spring with the 1M rate (110N/mm) but they were going to take a few weeks to ship from Sweden, so my distributor set me up with Swift springs in the rear. The front springs were free through him (one free pair of Swift springs with purchase). I also got the 1M valving (1 free re-valve per shock) installed (better suited to the higher spring rates). I had zero clearance issues, and I don't have very poke-y wheels, so I can add some meat to the car later on (yay!). The shorter front spring helps with this as well.

I installed them quite a while ago, yes. It's a great track set-up, but the calipers didn't make a big difference by themselves. Putting on proper track pads (I cannot recommend Porterfield R4's enough) was the best thing I ever did for braking performance and consistency on the track. Those, and some ATE Type 200 fluid will have you stopping quickly and consistently throughout a 20-minute session on stock brakes. Stainless flex lines aren't a bad idea either. Still, replacing pads is ridiculously easy with the 4-pots (top-loading is just genius), and it's the perfect solution for at-the-track pad swaps.
