Sorry guys - my lap top died, and I couldn't figure out how to post the pictures straight from my iPhone to the forum. Here's pictures of me Cee Bailey's sunshades. Like I said before, these things are FANTASTIC. My car sits in a giant parking lot in the Florida sun all day long, and when I get out to it, it's cooler inside the car than outside because it's so dark in there. My dash thanks me too.
As you can see, the front windshield comes in two pieces. The driver's and passenger's windows stay on by pressing them into the rubber molding. Don't worry, it doesn't do any damage to your molding. The rear side windows are shaped well enough that they stay in on their own. In fact those are the best fitting of the bunch. There's a tag on one side that I use to pull them out. If it weren't for the tag, they'd be tough to get back out. On to the pics... |

I know this thread is about BMW sunshades, but there is an alternative if you want a smaller, faster, cheaper alternative: The aluminized fabric generic covers with spring hoops work well in the 135 because the windshield is fairly small. The two pieces of the typical small car version overlap slightly and give good coverage. Once you get used to using this type, you'll find it much faster to twist and stow somewhere than to fold up and elastic band the others.

fcon, those posts were from 2009. For myself, I like the BMW sushade and it is about the same price as the covercraft version. It fits and works great! It is also easier to use than the more flimsy kind that rolls up.

Pricey but worth it IMHO. Solidly built to last, fits perfect, easy to unfold and put in place, comes in a nice, durable storage bag, and has BMW in big black letters on it which looks great through the windshield when in place. You could find something for less but this one looks like it was really made for the car. I live in Honolulu where the sun is strong most of the time so I use it a lot and my dash still looks new. It's probably the best accessory I've purchased for the car.

I have the cover craft version. It fits great and really cuts down the sun & heat.
Btw - I can't fathom how people here in FL don't use sunshades. :
