Redadair - I'm trying to remember awhile back you may have made, but did you have a similar e30 M3 back when it initially came out and always wished you had hung onto it? I guess either way, congrats on having probably every member's fantasy BMW garage.

Nice ride(s)! I'm happy that I don't have your garage...those cars will give me headaches because it'll be too confusing which one I'd like to drive more. (But seriously, I wish I have your garage lol)

How does it compare to the 1M (in terms of feel and dynamics)? Can you "feel" that your 1M is the E30 M3's grandson/successor?

Great memory. I actually test drove the first White e30 M3 that my dealer got in in the fall of 1987 as an 1988 model. I still have pictures of this car with my wife and I standing next to it.

At that time we had moved into our first house 3 months before and my wife was pregnant with our first child. So I had no choice but to pass on it, there was no way at that time in my life I could have afforded it.

This car is the same year, same exterior color yet with Cardinal Red interior rather than black. This car is a Second Owner car with 70,412 miles on it. It is bone stock. It comes with a second set of 16" E28 M5 wheels shown in the picture along with the 5 original wheels. The body of the car is straight as can be. It has sat for almost 5 years in this dealers temp controlled storage area with several other great BMW's. It hasn't been licensed since 2009.

I live in Utah and this car is in New Hampshire, the owner offered to keep the car in their storage area as is until Spring if I choose, which I most likely will do and then fly out and take my time driving across the country to places I have never been before.

I am soooo happy to have finally come full circle and get my young man's dream car. This and my 1M will be in my care until I can't drive anymore.

Thanks to all for the comments.

Yes they do. Mike is one of the best guys you can find in the business. So good to deal with. I highly recommend this honest father, son business.

That's a great story. You almost had me there for a moment, especially when I thought you were going to say it was the exact same car you test drove.

You are definitely blessed to have two special cars, as well as having one special wife to let you have these two toys.

Long may you run in both vehicles.

Thank you very much. I am still dancing around the house with excitement. The e30 M3 is pretty much the holy grail, at least to me for the BMW enthusiast.

Nice! and I agree with you. It is the holy grail.

Are you going to do any work on the car? and by that I don't mean modding, of course, but more restoration, if the car needs it.

My plan for the car is to keep 100% bone stock and replace those items that seem a bit worn. I will split time between this M3 and 1M driving on sunny days and to local BMW meets..

It's going to be such a great spring and summer next year.
