What is this car worth...
2012 135i DCT with 100k on it. Chip in the windshield and scuff on the bumper and a dent in the hood. Loaded with everything and new tires...
Just wondering... |

Color?
Options? Is the dent repairable through PDR? Carfax? Maintenance history? Tires? Pictures? You know the drill. |

BMWCCA1 says it best. 135's without maintenance records are a crap shoot. What brand are the new tires? Michelin, Bridgestone, Toyo, Yoko, even Hankook = good. Wang Ho Super Trak = not so good. Run flats = terrible, non-run flats = good.
I've had very good luck buying privately & getting maintenance records. I would almost never buy from a dealer w/o records. |

He is asking 11,500...I have not seen it in person. Its been listed for 20 days and he bought it from a dealer 2 years ago. NADA show 13,800 retail and 11,200 trade.
Its black...Just wondering with the issues it has. He will tell me more today. He said it was maintained on schedule. G |

Curious about mine- 2012 135i DCT N55 w/ 120K, Interior Condition 8/10, Exterior Condition 7/10. I have every single service record since I bought it as a CPO, but the number of records that are repairs would make a mechanic sweat haha. No accidents though, and new Michelin PS4S. Few upgrades, Lux H8 angel eyes, Smoked side indicators, AFe charge pipe with plugged meth bung, and Koni yellows. Have Berk cat-back street exhaust, but also have original I can swap back to.

Using the build date, nearly all One Series cars will soon be 10 years old! For example, my 2012 135i is 7/11, so this coming July the car will be 10 years old.
These cars aren't worth much likely less than $10K. A friend recently bought a 2012 convertible with 63K miles for $5K. When a car passes the 100K mark, it probably can be picked up for less than $10K regardless of the brand. What one can really buy them for is a function of their negotiating skills. One way to find out the bottom dollar is check the trade in value. Dealers will send these cars to auction knowing they won't fetch much money. The moral is don't fall in love with your car and don't put any "upgrades" in it. However, if you have the mechanical skills, you might find an old BMW with a lot of life left in it after doing some repairs. Of course, it is a crap shoot. |
