Totally agree. By no means was I trying to suggest that the current vids are not useful. I guess I was just wondering if anyone had vids of the stock exhaust already laying around. If not, I might have to get off my lazy ass and do it

Must have listened to both the Corsa and the cp-e drive-away clips about 25 times back-to-back. Final vote: cp-e. They both sound aggressive and throaty, but the cp-e sounds a little more refined. The Corsa has an ever-so-slight taste of that "glasspack" slappiness sound to it when you listen to it drive away.

I agree with Thud - the cp-e sounds a little more "exotic." But at the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference.

Does anyone know what the cp-e costs and if it's available for order to the masses?

Exactly, but I'm sorta diggin the sound of the Corsa. Would have to hear them in person. The CP-e doesn't sound that loud.

Listed as "in production" but no price shown yet: http://www.cp-e.com/scan/co=yes/fi=p...q.html?open=49

I would imagine that it's similarly priced to the 335i cat-back system, but perhaps it will be a little less, since the 335i is a dual setup. 335i system is in the $1,300 ballpark.

I hope it's cheaper than that there is not much to a cat back in the 135i compared to the 335i

YIKES!! $1,423?! The 335i 2.5" Dual Cat-Back system is only $1,352... Why in the world would this set-up cost MORE than the 335i exhaust?

Either way, I'll probably fork over the cash, but does anyone know what set-up they are using in the sound clips? On their website, they say that you have the following options:
The cat back comes in two pieces that are modular. You can chose to only replace the rear section, which includes the rear muffler and tailpipes. Or opt to replace only the front section, which includes the larger diameter mid pipes and optional 8-inch hybrid mufflers. No matter which options you choose, the cp-eâ„¢ 135i exhaust is a 100% bolt-in system that requires no cutting, grinding, or welding. Welcome to the product of serious engineering.
I'm assuming that the $1400 bucks gets you the "rear muffler and tailpipes" AND the "large diameter mid pipes and 8-inch hybrid mufflers?"

Can anyone clarify this for my tired brain this evening??

I keep listening to the Corsa vs.the CP-e and now I'm thinking that the sound of the cp-e is more fitting for the 1er. It's much more refined whereas the Corsa's is very raw. The cp-e does sound like it has a little in cabin drone tho.

Appreciate the effort Catahecassa but honestly, there is an awful lot of ambient noise in most of them and very faint exhaust sound, except for Clip000 when you start it up and the very start of clip 001.

I'm still thinking that the CP-e is the best sounding. Can't wait til it's released!

meisterschaft and cp-e have the best sound to me..... in that order... The Corsa sounds a little too ricey for me.

I would imagine in the next 3 months or so, Magnaflow, Borla, Dynomax will all have something available.
