N55 Stage1 Tune - Available!! - Beta Test Open!

Hey guys...

Well you have seen my updates, and the tuning has progressed VERY quickly so I am happy to announce I have been allowed to release the final BETA batch of N55 chips. This is limited to only 20 users, so act fast. The N55 Stage1 chip is available with a FREE USB cable for firmware upgrades, and of course FREE upgrade to the final version.

Priced VERY AGGRESSIVELY. Here is some more info.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...14#post7978814

I know a lot of you have been looking forward to this. It would be great to use this thread to post feedback and impressions so we can use it as a resource.

Thanks
Mike

Oh man.. that's tempting...

Couple questions:
1. Same install instructions as the N54?
2. Still easy to switch between maps? (Tune vs Map 0 stock tune)
3. No codes?
4. 92 Octane Hawaii gas will affect it at all?

Its an easier install then the N54 JB3 and no codes reported on the testing car and works great with 91 octane so you're golden with 92.

If worried about codes get the new CAN Tool (its only 50.00 more) and you get a whole lot of other features as well

Eric.
The CAN tool is not necessary but great little toy to have, especially with the price point it's offered at.

Will other maps be available for this with a firmware upgrade? In other words, will there be potential to gain more power from this chip in the future or are these the final output numbers?

Yes. The mapping is somewhat conservative @ 3.25psi max over stock but still a huge improvement. It's worth it for the lag reduction alone. The current mapping has been tested in around 30 cars for the past few weeks and everyone has loved it. Future free firmware updates are planned, and you'll also get 100% trade up credit when BMS does the Stage2 and Stage3 tuning.

Awesome. Also, is the CAN tool all I need to read/delete codes or do I also need a BT cable?

The unit arrived today (thanks for the fast shipping). The install wasn't too bad, I think it took me around 30 minutes. My initial impressions are a noticeable increase in torque and turbo noise, but not a dramatic increase in overall power. I'm happy with my purchase and I am definitely looking forward to future maps.

Installed yesterday.. WOW what a difference. I can hardly keep my tires from spinning in a straight line. The noise difference is incredible. You can definitely hear the turbo much much more clearly. This is just amazing! Thank you so much mike! awesome product.

After the second day of driving, the torque increase seems much more apparent (maybe it adapted?). Also, is there anyway to modify launch control to work better with the extra power or do I just need more grip? I've tried it once and the tires seem to spin too much. The car even tries to drift a little from side to side before it takes off. I'm loving the torque and turbo noises though.

Woner, what part of Knoxville are you in? I am heading that way tomorrow for the game and I plan on getting the N55 JB3 after break in...
