Show me your trunk meth tank install
Hi guys, I'm looking to install meth on my car but not sure if I want to do it on the trunk. So I want to see how you guys have done your tank install on the trunk.
Cheers |

I'll take a pic of my setup tomorrow.
Based on experience, you should go with a trunk setup. You have flexibility in terms of volume. More importantly it is much more safe. I have seen too many setups with meth tanks in the hood that went really bad. |

I'm thinking build my "own kit". Probably will use a lot of devils own parts and a burger tuning FSB, I have a JB4 G5. Still have not decided which route. I would love to have a stealthy install. Nothing to show, but using the ww tank seems to be not a great idea. So better safe than sorry. I would like to leave my trunk intact but seems that cant be done. I wish I could have more space on the battery location. The damn battery can power an 18 wheeler, LOL.
Any pics yet? |

If you're going the custom route, look at Aquamist. They have very reliable hardware. As for the tank, Howerton engineering makes one of the best. This falls in the nice to have. It has dual 1 gallon reservoirs, fins for fan installation, Leds (aesthetics), and of course you can install the pump inside. http://www.x-ph.com/howerton-engineering-twin-tank/ if you're interested, PM for special prices |

I bought a Vishnu setup. Before they went with the wiper tank they had a rear panel mounted tank. I never took a pic but had it all figured out, then decided I already enough HP without bothering with meth for now. Funny though, I still think I'll get RobBeck or Vargas turbos. I guess I was afraid that meth would be less reliable, more of a hassle, etc even though I really know it wouldn't be.

HFS-4 in the trunk or don’t bother, IMO. Why anyone would feel comfortable spraying off imaginary boost targets is beyond me. Vishnu PWM is very similar to the Aquamist setup, but obviously you’re limited on the tuning side if you go that route. Aquamist has its own failsafe system that is more or less flawless, boost is dumped if IDC tanks.

I have a Coolingmist 1.5 Gal tank in trunk with pump paired with a JB4 G5 ISO and FSB. Runs without any issues and helps me keep a healthy 416 at the wheels. Previously had the CMGS but went with the FSB for higher meth to water rate.
Will post a pic tomorrow. Been running meth injection for 3 years and the FSB for the last year.

Thats a nice looking thing for 80 bucks awesome. Which tank is that.
It's a bad thing that we COBB owners can't choose anything else than Aquamist HFS-4 which goes for around 1500$ with PTF maps and shipping. How much hp you can gain from meth? |
