If you park your car on a slight slope it will tell you it's reading low
Oil level should be checked when driving on these cars via the dash These sensor are a common problem, when pete from advan was around he would have told us that these are a common problem But if your worried about it drain and refil your oil but only put 5.5 litres in Wait till it reads the level, it takes a while and add the last litre in and see if it reads different between the levels This will tell you if the sensor is working or not |

Strange. Oil level is now reading as it was before the flash. I checked on 2 separate occasions and it showed it as full (measured standing still in my garage). Checked it again this morning and it seems to be back to normal. Might be a faulty sensor, as you suggest.
It's still telling me the service is due though. Before flashing, it said I was 1200 km away from next service. |

once you do the service, the km will be reset and keep an eye on it
you will have to do the oil changes more regularly now anyways, your tuned now but that's if you don't already. |

Hey guys, just picked up a 135i N55. I'm going to be doing the MHD flash soon and want to get all the cables right. Noticed the ebay item in the original link is no longer available (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/27162195...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)
However the same seller relisted a similar item under this like (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USB-20pi...AOSwVRpZpjU3); has anyone tried this cable yet? Better yet, any know where I pick up a working cable in Sydney (I know, it's a long shot lol) thanks in advance!!! |

Recently flashed my 135i N54 with MHD stage 2+ and was very impressed. For those interested , this is the setup that I used. My battery is a brand new Exide AGM but I still had my CTEK charger attached during the initial flash as I did not want to take any chances (as well as everything off - hvac, lights, stereo, etc)
Cable https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Best...7b204c4d8cu23v OTG cable https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Cabl...7b204c4d8cu23v These both took about 3 or so weeks to get here via AliExpress. Shipping is slow but it eventually got here. Device used was a Samsung J5 Pro phone, nothing else on it except for MHD and Carly, all apps and OS up to date. That setup worked fine with Carly when I registered the battery as well, and done subsequent codings. Had both windows down and cable was long enough to sit the phone on the roof of the car while the initial write took place. |

Hey sorry to revive an old topic, but I just got my 2008 e88 135i and am preparing to flash the stage 1 maps to it.
Really scared about something screwing up. Is there anyone around the eastern suburbs of Melbourne able to help out if it screws up on me? Car has a fairly new battery, will connect the charger in advance and pull the fuel pump fuse, but still scared of bricking the dme. |

It took about 36mins but the stock map backup took mere seconds (I hope it worked!) Power is out of this world for the stage 1 map. Best bang for buck ratio at $A216 for the flasher and maps licences. Only problem is that it's very difficult to get traction in the wet even on the gentlest of throttle. First World problems I guess. |
