Hi folks.
Just wanted to share my latest dream car with you. Quick on my BMW history: - 06 E61 535D - 05 E60 M5 - 08 E61 535D Really enjoyed all the 3 cars above, but wanted something more special. With occationally trackdays in mind I found that the 1M must be a proper DD and trackday car. So, I have been more or less on the search for 2 years for the "one". By the "one" I mean that it should not be stock, but the perfect amount of quality upgrades must be in place. My wishlist of upgrades its just cost to much $$ in Norway. The marked for these in Norway are not big and when they show up for sale they are to expensive. Did search in Germany for a while when the "one" suddenly was advertised on a Greman website. This car (now mine) was located in Russia and owned by a fellow 1addicts member. In my opinion the previous owner has done the correct upgrades on the car. - Akrapovic evo exhaust w/ titanium tips and AR design catless DP`s - Øhlins R&T suspension - Wagner Evo I intercooler - Cobb chargepipe - Turbosmart DV`s - Upgraded oil coolers - Cobb AP with Custom ******** map - AFE gt momentum intake - Brembo 18z front calipers with Ferrodo DS2500 pads - Rouge engineering short shifter. - Recaro CS seats. - Black kidneys - Carbon performance rear wing. After a few weeks of communicating each other we agreed to meet i Helsinki to seal the deal. 2 months later I am on Norwegian plates. It was a PITA to get a Russian car registered in Norway but eventually it worked out fine. Have driven around 2k km so far and loving the car. Yet to track it but hopefuly soon. Nearest race track is a 8 hour drive from where I live so with a family with 2 kids this needs to be well planned I have done a few things with the car in my ownership. - Changed spark plugs and have new coils in the garage. - Change engine oil and brake fluid. - New wheel alignment that will work as a DD and on trackdays - New PSS front and rear in stock dimension. Considering to order a CAI, inlets and outlets. But will probably start with the CAI. Appreciate reccomondations on CAI and inlets/outlets. Alright, enough text. Here are som pictures. Thanks for your kind words
Regarding the Ohlins, I have nothing but good things to say about them so far. As mentioned, have not had the car on the track yet, but I am sure they will perform nicelly. I mounted the stock suspesnion a month ago due to technical inspection for getting Norwegian plates and was impressed by the stock suspension, but with the Ohlins kit I get a smoother ride even on 5 click from full stiff. Ohlins handle bumps and other road imperfections very well compared to stock suspension. Car feels more planted and solid with the Ohlins kit. Here are some pictures of the interior. Photos taken by the previous owner. Have not tried the OEM seats, but these Recaro CS seats has great support and comfort. When driving home after purchase I drove 1100km in one stretch (only stop for fuel and food) and the seat comfort was top notch! If any of you have any experiences with CAI and inlets/outlets, please feel free to share this with me

Saweet. Very nice upholstry for the Recaro sportsters: is that custom; BMW performance seat style on the front and 1M style on the back?

Occupancy: No, coding (VO +RECA) is the same as bmw performance seats and part of that is deactivating the occupancy detection. |

You have the 18z rear as well? On OEM discs? Quote:
Not sure what the previous owner had in mind, but I thinks he wanted the seats to look like something that would come from the BMW factory. I sure love them!

When upholstering the seats you can put the OEM occupancy mat in the seat and wire it to the stock seat harness as per the normal seats. Same with the seat heating pad. If the car displays the seatbelt warning symbol when you sit down and turns it off when you have clicked it in, then the occupancy mat is working. It also means it wont detonate the passenger airbag in a collision if there is no passenger seated. |

Thanks, would like to get rear ones some time.
I have custom made brakets on the front to make them fit. Thinking of making new brakets or use 10mm spacers on the ones on the front for using M4 OEM 380mm discs. Does anyone now if there is larger OEM discs from another M car for the rear that will fit our cars?

Sweet, have to look into adapters for running Brembo 18z for the rear with 370mm discs.
I guess my 18" winter wheels needs to be replaced with 19" if running 380mm front and 370mm rear.
