My new 255/35/18 squared setup

Wheel spec: apex ARC-8 18x8.5 et38
Tire spec: Nitto Nt555 255/35/18
Suspension: KW v1s , fronts modified with 7 inch swift springs.
Camber: Volshlag camber plates. -2.5 currently. Rear -2 degrees
Fenders front and rear rolled, pulled and shaved bumper tabs.

Notes: zero rub, tested it over speed bumps and hard turns in high speeds.
No rub at full lock either.

Wish I would of gone this route the first time but you live and you learn, car drives amazing now! And looks aggressive!

Wow.. I'm rubbing in the rears with 18x8.5 Et40 255/35/18 michelin pilot sport 3, fenders are rolled and pulled with -2.5 degrees camber

You didn't pull enough maybe. What kind of roller did you use? I know a Eastwood roller won't pull like the guys that did mine did, you will run out of adjustment, we used a custom roller that's basically bullet proof lol, he rolls a lot of high end cars on the east coast.

Key point here is you have a custom fender work that allows those tires and wheels to fit. They look good and Im glad it worked out for you! Now put that money to work and go win some Auto-X!

No I wasn't joking, 18s are way better looking. I'd only go 17 if it was a dedicated set of track wheels. And the 18" Arc-8s are light as it is. Personally, I need the 18" bling on the streets

They are super light, lighter then my 17s so I'm not complaining. I'm happy with them, I can always sell them always go 17s whenever I wanted to and run the same setup kgolf is if I wanted to get super serious.

It's great, I had the Arc-8 on mine before and even the 18x9.5 rear wheel was incredibly lightweight.

ARC-8 18" is more than 2lbs / wheel heavier than the identical width 17" version. Best choice depends on one's priorities....

Well you see I'm running M235i BBK now lol so I need the 18s haha. Guess it worked out.

No doubt!

That's the sole functional drawback to 17ers -fitting large aftermarket brakes. I'm not running BBK so doesn't apply in my case.

The other thing I'm learning to love about the 17 size compared with 18, is the price of replacement rubber. RE71A's are close to $100 less per tire, almost $400 per set compared with the same compound sized for 18s. This adds up over the course of track season
