Whatís in Your Trunk?

I bought a Ď11 128 M-Sport 6M. But, itís missing a trunk tool kit...argh.
Do you know whatís in the OEM kit?
What have you changed or added to the kit to improve it?
Whatís items are must-haves that I probably donít have?

You aren't missing much if you don't have the kit.
My '08 e88 only has an Allen key (to manually shut the roof of it gets jammed) and a screwdriver.
Plus I have the key for the wheel lock nuts.

No jack, no spanners, no wheel nut socket/tool.

I have added a small pocket knife multi tool, a torch, duct tape, and an air compressor/tyre slime repair kit.

Yeah, Tow Hook, Screwdriver (I think it's both phillips and flat but mine is stuck so I can't flip around), and an allen key (for DCT it puts it into neutral when battery or all else fails).

I've added a can of fix a flat, a conventional plug kit, a tire inflator (this sits in my back seat passenger footwell) a couple cheap microfiber cloths, a can of invisible glass, some gloves, bug spray, sunscreen.

I think that's it. I also keep my tools for adjusting suspension in my glovebox along with OBDII dongle, android tablet with K-DCAN cable for MHD, a more varied screwdriver (torx bits and different size phillips and flat) flashlight and tire pressure gauge.

Do you know what those screw bosses, snaps, and ribs are for?

I have a small socket set, a plug kit w/compressor, an extra quart of oil, STP ethanol treatment, and a couple spare ignition coils.

I still get anxiety taking the car on anything more than a 2 hour drive even though its never stranded me in 4 years

BMW stock kit with tow adapter, wrench, screwdriver, allen wrench

Fire extinguisher - I've always considered this a must-have, but letting it burn seems like a good option too. I've used 'em a few times, always on other people's cars.

Windshield cleaner - I only use the the built-in cleaner in the rain, out of respect for the convertible top and the hood's paint.

Paper towels
Owner manual in its case
Plastic BMW Trunk Liner

Tiny air compressor & Tire plug kit - more for show than for use...

Scented clothes-dryer sheets - PO had mice in trunk, used these to keep them away after repair.

AAA card... We replaced run-flats with non-RFT tires - after 8 years driving Volts (2 flats, both unrepairable sidewall damage), we're comfortable calling AAA for a tow to tire shop any time we get a flat.
