No still working on the fuel issues, my nephew has brought my hardware back from the states and it's getting fitted on Tuesday.

Its the new rim/tyre combo, it's unbelievable.

1.3 on a 60' is not possible on these cars.

Sorry Marty.

I hope you can prove me wrong. I'll come out again once Spring is in the air.

I was thinking the same thing!

Perhaps there was a glitch with the timing system at the track??

Unless you managed 4 consistent runs and 60's?

Definitely issues with the timing. I can bet my life that the 60' especially was recorded wrong. It doesn't add up.

From memory the fastest 135i 60' is something in the range of 1.55 which is absolutely unbelievable already.

Sorry don't mean to rain on your parade Marty. I've been drag racing at EC for a long time way before running my 135i and 335i there. I know all to well exactly what can be done and that 60' is IMPOSSIBLE in these cars in street trim.

I'm gonna give you credit anyway and say well done.

I've been drag racing since the old eastern creek drag way was open on the old track and have a lot of years and thousands of passes up my sleeve.

My car is setup for maximum grip and has consistent times.

I ran a 1.7 last week and made a few adjustments to my suspension this week and it paid off.

I still need to sort out my fuelling issues which I was trying tonight, I got it much better but still need to fit this

Wow you really believe you cut a 1.3 60'
I guess the slip's don't lie.

C'mon Marty if you know about drag racing then you know it's not possible. I did many 1.7's in my 135i. It's not that hard in an AT but to get a 1.6 or high 1.5 well that's just amazing.

The port injection looks cool. Congrats.

If you done that pass on 20" tyres you deserve an automotive equivalent of a fkn nobel prize!?!?

I'm a total noob to drag racing but i recall a mates AWD GTR with 410awkw doing something like a 10.9 with a 1.8 60 footer!

Well done

No chance of a 1.3 short time in a heavy underpowered IRS street car.

Here's what a 1.361 short time looks like in a R35 GTR that runs 7.9 @ 186 MPH (go to 3:00 in video)

I agree. This 0-60' time is not possible with a 135 on street tyres. Look at Dragtimes and you will see the fastest 335 in the world is doing 0-60' times in the high 1.5s using Hoosier drag slicks and recording 10.89s runs. Also, the speed 115mph doesn't correspond to the 11.5s time. Cars running 11.5s are doing 120+ mph. The only explanation I can see, is that you staged on the rear wheels. This would explain the 0-60' time because it would only be 50' not 60' and the time with a low speed. It is not uncommon as I have seen it happen numerous times at Willowbank. In nearly all cases, the starter gets them to move back. If the starter is not on the ball he could let the tree go without noticing it.

I think we may have scared him off for good but he should have known he didn't have a 7 second AWD GTR launch on his "Nankang Noble"135i.

Apparently Calder Park was even worse in their heyday. 10 second passes in a standard XR6 is one I've been told about lol
