BMW Power Performance Kit Question
I just bought a 2011 BMW 135i and after I bought it I noticed it had a badge for the BMW Power Performance Kit in the engine bay. So I am not sure if I have it or not since I bought this car used. From what I have been reading it seems that this is suppose to make the exhaust have a burble/crackle sound and I don't notice any of that. Is there anyway I can tell? If the car was originally in Texas and moved to Kansas where I bought it, would my local BMW dealership be able to give me info on this?

Thank you for that information. I am still learning my car. Do you get it only if you have the PPK or does normal stock have it too?

PPK2 install can be checked visually, as it has the aux radiator.

I have tried looking for it. Isn't it suppose to be in front of drivers side wheel in the engine bay? You have to move the wheel a certain direction to see it? I have tried but don't know exactly what I am trying to see.

Related Question
I know this is an old thread, but I have a PPK2 related question. I am the original owner of my '09 135 and 2 or 3 years ago I had the dealership install the PPK2 for me on my 1. Recently I purchased a MOTIV Motorsport 750 single large turbo conversion kit and had a tuning shop install it. I'm still waiting to get my car dyno tuned to complete the setup (this winter on the East Coast has been brutal and apparently dyno's have a temp sensor and shutdown if it is too cold!).
My question is when I took delivery of my 1, I noticed there was a PPK2 related plug in the front right of the engine bay (just behind the passenger headlight assembly) that was unplugged. I made this (lame) short video to illustrate and to send to the shop. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...o/135_Plug.mov They tell me that it was like that before they installed the MOTIV 750 kit. I am just looking for PPK2 owners to confirm that this plug is unplugged on their setups as well. *OR* if it is plugged into something then to tell me what it is plugged into. I greatly appreciate your time and help in this matter. Thanks! Last edited by Sk8fe; 03-03-2015 at 06:02 AM.. Reason: corrected typos |
