Interesting news. The car was meticulously maintained by the BMW dealer up until it was traded in back in August 2019.
Turns out that the HVAC unit shares the same fuse as the glove box, trunk release, and trunk lamp. It was the glove box lamp that was shorting out. Once I removed the lamp, all is well. Last edited by Ursan; 10-31-2020 at 05:38 PM.. |

In July, the fuel pump died.
Fortunately, it has the SULEV warranty and saved me $3800 in repairs. Pump Pump control module Valve cover (that the dealer I purchased from damaged "fixing" the oil leak.

I just sold the car. It was too unreliable. It averaged an issue every third month ranging from a failed fuel pump, to HVAC issues, to mystery noises through the speakers to a continuing string of coil failures.
If I knew then...
