I would like to buy these as my new track/winter wheels.
What do you think?

What size are you looking for?

I don't think they look bad -- the red stripe is a thing of personal preference, and I'd really need to see them on a car to make a "looks" judgment -- but if you're going to use them for winter, all the salt and dirt from the road is going to make those black wheels look crappy fast. I'd personally figure that wheels pulling double duty for winter AND track are going to be abused hard, so I'd worry first about performance, durability, and inexpensiveness and worry about looks only for the daily driver/summertime wheels. (Heck, I'd go with cheap black steel wheels if you could find them -- and they'll look just as crappy as these when covered with salt in the winter.) |

I think the real question is what can you get for snow tires in 18"? That may limit the choices. I'm really hoping someone puts out a set that fit the stock 18" rims so I can get 19"s like Silverbullet's for summer. 17" snows are easy, but the wheels look too wimpy which is tough to take if you live where there may be only a handful of days a year when you really need them.

I think you're trying to get dual use out of something that is too conflicting of usage. Snow wheels are thin, track wheels are wide.
Did you sell the stock wheels? |
