BTW I certainly don't do this every day, or even every week. Maybe once every couple of weeks just to get most of the crap off. I do agree that it makes no sense to wash your car as often in the winter as it just gets crappy again very quickly.

Use ONR or go to a touchless wash, as Greg said. If you get snow, your car's paint will look terrible by the spring, there's nothing you can do about it. Take as much care as you can so the detailing bill won't be as bad come March.

I spend 2 bucks at a spray yourself wash with one pressure water, gets most of the shit thats very noticeable off, cleans the wheels a bit. Nowhere near perfect but you wont get that unless you wash it urself which I wont do right now. $2 beats everything else out seeing as it gets a good amount of the loose shit off the paint and the crap from the undercarriage, etc.

Some pics of some Winter care I did on my own car a couple of Winters ago using ONR, two buckets (with Grit Guards) and a couple of chemical sprayers (wheel cleaner+brush and flushed with fresh water from a garden sprayer, and pre-treat the paint with an ONR solution)

LOL @ "Can't clean your car properly in the cold..."

I then waxed her with Pinnacle Souveran letting the wax sit for an hour before I took it off. Temp outside was between 40-45 if I remember correctly.

Shoot, if it was 40-45 degrees outside, I'd be washing my car too, using normal hose and bucket methods. Problem is, 40-45 isn't what I would call winter weather and is certainly a rarity from about the beginning of December through the end of February here in southeastern Pennsylvania.

I hear you on that. As stated, those pics are a couple of years old. But don't worry - I have a how-to video coming soon that is in 25 degree weather
