It would be nice to know if it was a government hold up, or if someone at BMW forgot to send paperwork in on time or something. Wouldn't change the timeframe at this point, but could give us leverage for some "freebies". We should get SOMETHING for this.

I too would love to get something for this as we are down to one car and it is a PAIN in the ass!! Though BMW USA told me they are completely in the hands of the feds... It just is odd to me that the 135,335,535 engine which has been out for quite some time is taking so long to recertify...

JLight- It's true. BMW can't do pooh. The "G-man" is involved now and NOTHING will happen until he's happy.

Still no definitive word and my car will be sold (sadly for far too little) Friday morning. I'm going to have to rent a car for business next week.

My car was sold middle of August and the new owner took delivery end of September. I've had to rent a car 3 times. Not fun at all.

Yeah, well I have been with out our old 2nd car (e46 wagon) for MONTHS. Was going to get a 2008 then said oh hell get the 2009 for the new iDrive... I am going crazy!
