BMW e82 dashboard help

Hey guys just wondering if this gap between the end of the dashboard and the pillar is normal? Had some guy replace the dashboard due to a blown airbag however he told me he didn’t use a 135i dashboard but a different 1 series model. I’m not sure if it’s short than usual or a piece goes there. Can anyone please confirm?

Looks correct. The A pillar cover is quite large.

The A-pillar trim piece comes down into that area.
