Aftermarket headlights for factory HID AHL?

As the title says I have factory xenon adaptive headlights and want to upgrade, I cant seem to find anything? is my only option pulling apart my factory housings and customizing?

Yes that's your only option. No one makes xenon equipped car aftermarket headlights. Everything is halogen car stuff

Why is that dumb...? OEM HIDs are better quality and more reliable than any of the aftermarket stuff.

Agreed.

Upgrade the bulbs. Osram Nightbreaker D1S xenons and PIAA H8 angels. Then go into the FRM and turn the bulb voltage up in the hidden factory options. Done.

I have a small desire to get the LCI corner reflectors and have the housings done in a graphite color though.

What I wish as far as aftermarket support is that we had replacement covers available. Mine are totally F'ed after 100k+ miles of daily driven sandblasting. If we had replacement covers all this customization would be DIY friendly.

I mean, it's a 12-13 year old car. Sure it's dumb compared to modern stuff. Gotta pay if you wanna play. Plenty of great options to open up your lights and modernize them a bit. I love the work done on mine

I didn't have LCI lights originally so that was an added cost. I had Rush Customs do the work and supply his parts. The lights have his 3/4 DTM RGB halos, switchback eyebrow LED strip, blacked out housing, gunmetal eyelid, and he laid a stripe of my vinyl on the eyelid to match the exterior. My total build from him was around $850 but he can give you a more personalized quote.

Probably.

Honestly even buying a set of lights plus the work and parts it comes in well under what a set of nice lights for more modern cars cost. The nice OEM lights for my last car were $2500 lol

lol, there was supposed to be s funny photo attached to the HA, $850 does seem like alot for some new halos and spray paint, looks really nice dont get me wrong. And I realize new OEM is waaay too expensive. might be different if I bought a new M2 or something

The majority of that labor is splitting the headlights (they don't bake open) and the new wiring. Corner light was deleted so that the eyebrow could be used as the switchback turn signal. Keep in mind my build also had "custom" work with eyelid color and vinyl. To me, that's all a bargain at that price. The before and after of the headlights easily justifies the price to me. People find value in things differently of course.
