Exclamation N55 Fault Code: 2C58H/11352

Greetings all,

My coupe's engine light has come on with the car going into limp mode, the problem comes and goes. I've taken it to the Indy garage that does my servicing and it's thrown 11352.

2C58H/11352
"Boost pressure control, deactivation: boost pressure build up blocked"
"The diagnostic function monitors the DME's deactivation of active boost"

I'm thinking Solenoid, Wastegate issue, visually checked my OEM chargepipe which doesn't have any cracks.

Anyone got experience dealing with that code? Help appreciated, i'm thinking of booking it in with the main dealership but would like to avoid!

Hard to tell, maybe good to do a boost leak test. Also, could be any of those you mentioned plus torn BOV diaphragm, PCV/Valve cover broken, some random boost leak etc.

Might be worth going to the main dealership to properly diagnose, i just read about Vanos bolts and have no idea if this recall was carried out on my car. Can't seem to find it in the service history.

BMW Recall shows nothing but i might check up with them.

To update this thread, i cleared codes and it drove fine for a few days. I had an appointment in central London today giving it a little push off the m25 and the engine light is back up again.

Brought a carly adapter it's throwing:

I think these are supposed to be maintained at 50,000 miles, mines on 65,000 and i can't see anything the service history.
The service rep was kind enough to let me know they replaced the Vanos unit screw connection in the recall.
BMW warranty does not cover the solenoid.

Since this is quite costly and fair few parts are removed in the process can anyone recommend anything else to be done while they're at it?

Edit: Ok super confused, ive seen posts of people being charged £2000 for solenoid replacement. It looks super easy to do yourself and 1hrs job, 2 max. I won't be getting this done from the main-dealership, I'll either do myself or get my Indy to do.
