I just came across this video again over the weekend. comparing Chris Harris own tuned 1M to the OG M2.

It pretty much sums up exactly why I (as does he) favor the 1M over the OG M2.

1 - the 1M is a challenge to drive!
2- MANUAL steering - OMG it is so amazing vs the electric steering in the M2.
3- Manual seats for lower seating position - The fully manual 1M seat is lower and you feel like you are IN the seat not perched on it. Manual seats were available in the performance edition M2 - only 150 made.
4- i'll take the black one!

Great video very fair too. The only point some might take issue with is the seat height as the lower seating position is for the manual seats. The power seats on the 1M are higher. This became noticeable to me after I sold my first stripper 1M and test drove some used 1Ms with power seats.
