Dual Oil Cooler Selection
Hey Guys, I want to upgrade my oil coolers, so that when I do track it, I am prepared.
There are obviously 4 options out there.. 1. ER Dual Kit 2. Stett Dual Kit 3. Advan Dual Kit 4. Home Made dual Kit like Berns has. Initially I was very intrigued by the ER Dual kit because of the shrouding and vents that you can purchase for the kit. I was also intrigued by the Stett kit because it is cheaper than the ER kit and it does mount the lines up top, preventing any air or possible cooling issues within itself. But, there's no shrouding. The Advan kit is awesome too, it has 10an lines, but still mounts lines on the bottom and no shrouding.. What do y'all think? |

I'm going the single DIY route. I'm using a china 17 row cooler and the stock thermostat.
My end goal is to maintain 220-230 oil temps. I see no benefit in lower. |

I agree. That your own setup will save some money, but the ducting on the back side to protect from rock chips and on front to force air in is what will be the pain
|

Not exactly. If you already have the stock cooler on the passenger side you have the equivalent on that side. This is the ducting for the OEM cooler that comes with the PPK2 kit for the drivers side. I know because I just installed the cooler and ducting but hooked it up to the OFH as a parallel second cooler vice a water cooler like it is for the PPK2 kit.
