MHD Octane Maps Query

I've always put 93OCT in my N55, and currently map to Stage1+ 93. 91OCT is readily available around here. Is there any drop in performance to mapping for 91? Is there a performance gain mapping to 91, but using 93?

I wouldn't recommend using 91 if 93 is available, especially if tuned. 93 is more stable and allows more power safer especially in summer heat when IATs climb faster.

That said. To answer your question... Matching the map to the octane results in best output. There's no gains to flashing a 91oct map and using 93. On the flip side if you flash 93 and use 91 you'll be at risk of knock and timing drops. You'll be at risk of that with 91 on a 91 map too fwiw.

TLDR; for your Q ... Fill r up with 93

The maps make more power as octane increases (as long as you match the fuel)

91>93>e30>e40>e60 Etc

If you are going to a 91 Map from a 93 Map then yes, you will make less power.
