2009 128i Convertible Top Problem

My 2009 128i with 29,000mi on it is having trouble dropping the top down. When I hold the open button, the top would begin to open but seems to always get stuck about 1/4 of the way into the process, it'll only finish opening the top if I give it a little push, after that it seems to complete the opening process just fine. However the top closes without a problem. Anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

I have experienced it a couple of times. I actually had to push the center console button twice to get it to open all the way up.

It's stopped doing that now, so unsure what was causing it.
