I watched the NBA for a few years after Magic retired but lost interest quickly. Lakers / Celtics and Lakers / Pistons were awesome. (Grew up Lakers fan in Celtics territory.). Now all I can do is SMH when I see some of the NBA-related quotes / headlines on ESPN.com. Haven't had interest in the NBA in a very long time.

I yearn for the era prior to "fake basketball" yea thats right you heard it..
Back when you were punished for driving effectively to the basket thru guys like Laimbeer.. Jordan early in his career earned every one of his drives the hard way
Lets go back even beyond Jordan.. to Bird, J, and Magic.. those were great times

The NBA is unwatchable for me. They only start playing the 4th quarter and players are more concerned about their image and tats than the game. College basketball is so much better.

NBA sucks now. Have not watched one game and certainly would not pay to go.

Rather watch a seniors game with Magic, Bird, Jordan, Barkley, Kareem, Shaq, etc...

This new generation just does not have it.

I wouldn't say that, the game is very different now though. Blame the league for softening the game. Blame endorsements for giving these peeps 100s of millions. Every any sport if we look back 20-30 years we'd say it was better then. Lol.

Don't forget the 76ers of that era. They were dominant then too. I went to many Celtic / Sixer games at the Spectum.

As a side note. I also went to the parade in Philly in June of 1983.
I hear there is a parade today in Philly.

Life long Eagle fan and the parade is on my Birthday,,,
My GF says it's my Bday parade.

IF you actually went to leg day, you wouldn't have to wear shorts below and socks above your knees

Spurs. Well, they've been playing the "right" way for 30 years now.

Bulls aside. Teams then that were worth a watch... Hornets, Clippers, 76ers, Utah Jazz, Pacers... nowadays it's all thumbs down. The game then was different. As said above even before that era.

guys get over it..... grew up watching jordan kill the knicks, reggie drain the knicks, Hakeem $hit on Ewing on the one shot he got at a ring.....

yes, its 'softer', but more athletic than its ever been..... yes it sucks when you see a monster like lebron james (6'8, 250-260lbs) flop and fall when he truck sticks through a guy like shane larkin (5'10, 170 maybe)....

you still have guys like IT (just traded to lakers an hour ago) still slicing and dicing (like mugsy did with grand ma-ma back in the day before jordan owned the team) and doing it at a faster and more explosive rate than ever.

the guard play has gotten much better, faster and more talented (athletic, whatever you want to call it). OG Isiah thomas would get destroyed by a steph curry, curry would cross up AI....

i love the 'old school' era of basketball just like I like the attitude era of the WWF!

but its dead and gone, all we can do is reminisce and move forward
Yep, we don't all need to watch / care about the current NBA. Plenty other ways to spend time and plenty of fans remaining for the NBA without us.

Well thats when it really ended for me..
when the league felt they needed to protect their darling $$$-maker Jordan
imo thats when the WWF ref-shepparding of games really started

however the Bulls were definitely NOT over-rated
I watched nearly every one of their games for a couple of seasons and Mr. Jordan is Mr. super-clutch for sure
one could argue the Lakers - Celtics - Sixers teams of the slightly prior era were better and there would be many valid points
but imo the Bulls were still a great team esp the squad that pushed 70 wins
