Lpfp install

So I bought a walbro 450 with the install kit. I was going back and forth about bucket or bucketless. I bought both a T and an elbow and a little extra rubber hose as well. So either way I'd have what I needed. So while taking apart the bucket I accidentally melted the plastic and put a hole in it. So I decided bucketless was the way to go. Lol. I used the bucket but cut out parts of the bottom to allow the sock to stick out. Drilled some holes in the sides to allow fuel to get in as much as possible. Put it all back together and put it in. It works awesome. I drove to gas station on near empty with no problems.
But..... I think it slipped off the arms that hold the bottom to the top. Because when I started I had less than 2 galls in the tank and low fuel light on. When I finished it read 1/2 tank. Not sure what is going on except that it slid down off the arms. I took extra care to make sure nothing interfered with the float.
I will go back in and figure it out when my tank is low again but I was wondering if anyone else had this happen?

Btw easy and inexpensive way to get a stg2 lpfp.
Whole thing cost $130 and a heat gun. Thinking about adding another pump.
I will let you know if I have any starvation issues, but I don't track my car and I haven't got on it with 1/4 tank or less in it yet. But really, if I do its easy enough to pull out and fix

One of the hoses that runs to the other side is probably hanging up the float.

Oh, thank you!! I finished in the dark. Even though i had a headlamp on and a shop light it was hard to see down there. I forgot it was getting dark at 5pm now . I'm gonna open it up before I leave for work today and see. Thx again

Well this seemed to work itself out. I'm back down to 1/2 tank of gas(I looked in the tank) and it reads 1/2 tank. Guess it was just hung up on something and it moved. Good call iminhell1!!! Thanks
The new fp is awesome!! I was getting into the low 50psi range with my old pump(and my turbos are screwed only hitting 14psi) and last night I monitored the new, it was a max of 90psi and didnt drop below 80. No WOT, but close a couple times. So I bought another used bucket off ebay. I'm either going to make a stg2 with a bucket, so I have both, or try a cheapo walbro clone 450lph pump and see if it matches up to the walbro. I love a good test.

So I bought another lpfp bucket for $60 on ebay and took it apart. My bucketless diy is doing really well and my fuel psi is way higher than I expected. Ive yet to run into any starvation issues . But I don't track my car either. The other diys i saw were running a "T" and connecting fuel line to the venturi. And I saw nothing but problems with 1. The clamp not holding on the small venturi end, and 2. Fuel degrading the hose. The diy I followed only uses a 2" piece of hose at the very top to connect the top of the walbro to the metal fitting to the in tank fuel line, and I found that black market makes a piece just for that to eliminate the hose all together. I'm buying it for $20.
If the fuel pump, pulls gas and the venturi feeds the bucket and your running a bigger pump wont you starve for fuel anyway? Would the little hole in the venturi keep up?
I'm looking to make this new one a bucket with single walbro inside and add some flow to the venturi , maybe by a bigger type of venturi?
Or maybe just as simple as drilling a couple holes up higher on the bucket?
Any ideas would be helpful.
I'll never need 2 pumps because I'm only expecting just under 500hp on these stage2 rb's with 93 octane and maybe 525hp with e50.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated, I bought this fuel bucket to play around with and just ordered another walbro kit. Looking for warm inside projects for the winter

Was a kit on Amazon for like $105. Think it went up a little.
