'13 135i vert: tire sizes on 18" 313 wheels

I am upgrading wheels and tires on my car (currently M-Sport wheels and run flats), and going for BMW 313 style wheels and Michelin PSS tires.

just tried to order one up from stock sizing in Michelin PSS on Tirerack.com. It gave me a message during checkout: "Rear aggressive fitment! This will require fender lip and liner modification to fit without rubbing!".

Is that incorrect? Keep in mind I have a 2013 135i vert, so I'm wondering if there's something different with the size of the wheel wells in the vert compared to the coupe.

So, can anyone chime in on this so I can get some verification if I can in fact run 225/40 18 in front and 255/35 18 in the rear in my convertible?

I could go either way on it, frankly. Stock tire sizes might be just fine for me, and I just don't want any issues.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

So long as the offsets on the new wheels are the same as the stock wheels these tires will fit perfectly. They are what many people are getting to replace their run-flats. No fender rolling required. PSS do have bigger shoulders than stock so even 10 mm more offset will cause occasional rubbing in the rear. You'll love these tires.

Exactly. Make sure the 313s are e82 offsets and not the ones for the 3 series. Ppl get it mixed up quite often on here.

gmartan, thank you! I'm guessing the offsets are the same, these wheels I'm buying are the same wheels as the 135is. I'm not sure I know certain, though. Here's something I found in a thread regarding the sizes of the wheels, not sure if it tells you the right information regarding offset: "18x7.5 ET49 and 18x8.5 ET52"

So, you'd recommend I go with the one size up?

Those are the ones! I'm going to be running 255 rear and 225 up front and have told i'll have zero rub w/ stock suspension. You'll be fine.

I am also looking into PSS. Just finished my last season with the RFT on my 313 and looking to go 225/255, hopefully I can keep my 12mm spacers on the rear with the +1. It really helps the aesthetics.
