Square tires, staggered wheels
2013 128i base. Style 262 stock staggered wheels. 225-45-17 tires all around. Can these be straight up rotated, or do I need to dismount and remount and keep wheels where they are?

I had a square tire setup on staggered wheels. You can rotate side to side to change the direction of rotation and increase tire life, but not front to back.

Same size tires. Same offset wheels. Small wheel width difference, but both within acceptable range for the tires.
Sure it's not the 'ideal'. But if it's what you have to work with, save your dismounting and remounting money towards a set of square wheels and just normal rotate them in the mean time. The real world difference should be negligible. |
