Tuning Help Needed: Low RPM cruising high timing corrections (Log Inside)
Guys,
Im going crazy trying to figure out what is causing this... I have a 2009 135i N54 Mods: AFE DCI Charge pipe with HKS BOV (vented to atmosphere) 3 inch catback FMIC Cobb Accessport running Stage 1 LT Aggressive I run shell 93 oct from a brand new gas station. (logs mimic on multiple stations gas) NGK 5992 plugs installed 300 miles ago (gapped to .022) Walnut shell blast was done approx 2k miles ago. HPFP was done by dealer in 2011 LOG: http://datazap.me/u/all4bspinnin/log...-3-11-15-18-20 So this data log was taken shortly after idling for about 5 to 10 minutes (was adjusting the cobb) The car has timing corrections around 2000 to 2500 every time under light part throttle starting with 2nd gear. Under WOT, the car is quiet with 0 timing corrections. Its only this light throttle cruising around town stuff. I know the DME does corrections all the time but I feel these are WAY too much. I ran 2 gallons of e85 from a performance shop and that helped a bit but I still saw corrections up to -7 occasionally. Does anyone have any suggestions? The car starts up fine, drives fine, etc. Thank you all |

Thank you for the reply guys. That at least makes me feel a bit better. Im still going to replace my coils anyways since the car has 80k and Ive serviced everything else. I'll keep this thread updated to see how the car reacts afterwards.

I have similar issues.. I was wondering same thing. I'm FBO n55 Cobb and currently getting wedge tune to dial it in. I DO also get misfires during wot.

Just wanted to update everyone. As it turns out this was a tuning issue. My car for whatever reason didn't like the cobb base maps. After getting the pro-tune, the car rarely shows a -3. Which im fine with.
