Better look at the AFE Intake in the light. Running the oiled filter, made sure the housing was clean and filter was oiled. Changed the Intake boot.

Anyone else have the AFE stage 2 Intake? They did a shitty job with the boot that attaches to the TB. It's too short and is a really tight fit. I had to buy an aftermarket boot to make sure everything was connected correctly. Anyone else find they made it too short? It sounds and performs great. But for the price, I expect the product to fit without any issues. May get another Intake just for that fact lol.

That AFE CF cover looks great in the engine bay. I've always disliked the look of open dual air filters that are currently on my car, but I'm not willing to pay the coin for a closed box aftermarket setup.

Yeah I agree, looks fantastic. After I got the Mishimoto Intake Boot, fitment was no longer an issue. Looks great, sounds great, really opened up the engine.

Haha all good. Honestly when I read build threads I usually go through fast and look at pictures and then go back and read everything after lol.

You done any mods? If you break it down and organize everything into what is important to you, do research and find all the prices available for the products you can do any build you want man. Doesn't have to be done all at once either, just start and enjoy!

I've got 6 stages that I broke this into and am planning to get it completed by the fall/start of winter.

GUILTY AS CHARGED

And yeah just a handful of driver "feeling" mods! I don't wanna hijack your thread so check out my build thread, link is in my signature.

I'm just in college so my disposable income is next to zero when it comes to mods (don't worry my maintenance budget is plenty!). I'm slowly getting thru that list.

Keep at it! I LOVE seeing people build up 128i's. Trust me I love my turbos, but NA straight-6 engines singing, while needing next to zero repairs ever is very desirable.

Haha. There is 6 stages I broke this build into. Stage 2 is getting done now which will take the care to a new level both in looks and performance. Just wait until we get into stage 3 🤔

Excited to see another build going on at the same time as mine. Sounds like yours will be done a whole lot quicker than mine though I'll be making my build thread right after this so you'll see it up soon. Good luck and I look forward to following along! Looking good so far!

Thanks bud! We can throw ideas, issues, thoughts etc.. back and forth as we go through the builds. Ill send you a private message. I broke it down into stages to keep it organized for me, otherwise I would just be buying random shit in no discernible order lol. About to finish Stage 2 and will be posting pictures and installation stuff shortly.

Me too, Mine were so damn yellow. The side markers are the best investment. They are so cheap...

Actually, if you want a pair. I have brand new/in the box pair of smoked side markers if you want them. You just pay me for shipping and they are yours. 1addicts crew discount lol. PM me if you want them and we can set it up.
