Electric power steering for drifting?
I just want to know if anyone had the same experience with electric power steering.
I'm building a weekend fun drift car out of a 118d e87 chassis and by stock it has electric power steering. When I try to get it to sit in a longer corner, it starts to center out the steering wheel mid-corner, never had this with e36's or e46's. Can the alignment be the problem or is there something wrong with the steering rack? Or should I just do a hydraulic power steering swap? |

I'm sure you can code that feature off if you have EPS. Can typically code the rack to be faster too with EPS which aside from not giving you any tacticle feedback would be desirable for drift work.
Wonder if the EPS rack from the M performance 1 hatch or the M2 would fit your car or if they're even different at all.
