Jb4 newbie, map 1 vs map 5 interesting
Hi Gents,
I'Ve recently fitted the following bits to my n55 135 dct, jb4 Stage 2, AA sport cooler, BMS CAI, BMS DECAT DP. I haven't ordered my USB cable yet... I was under the impression it would come with the JB4. We have the equivalent to US 91 oct fuel. I started on map 1 and the car felt good, I saw approx 12 psi on the dash gauges. I then tried map 5, I did a few WOT RUNS and WOW WHAT A DIFFERENC!!! I now see 15 plus psi and the the car feels AWESOME. My question is I how safe am I on map 5 as I can't "log" and send info to the master Terry. Thanks in advance. |

Map 5 is recommended and you should be fine using it. Why don't you use map 2? You have all the downpipes and intercooler?

Ive also still have to fit my meth kit... That should ensure things stay under control... |

....and faster evacuation of exhaust gasses and lower EGTs....which effectively increases your octane (in theory) by helping to minimize cylinder temps and knock thus allowing for more timing/power for longer periods of time.

We are on holiday in an awesome part of south Africa called Sabie. The roads out here are the BEST. MILES AND MILES of twisty roads... All I need is a full tank of gas and MAP 5
