COBB Stage 1 Comparable to 1M Power ?

Sup guys!

is it fair to say that Cobb Stage 1 Sport 91 map will put you in 1M power territory if not a lil more ?

NB: no Bolt ons mods

Thanks

Power wise , may a little more, but do not discount that fact that it has different suspension and big fat tires which help put the power down

For the Tires, i'll be on 265 Rear sections as well and with PSS I can't go wrong suspension actually a softer one is more ideal for traction out the whole , am no fan of drag racing though .

Salute!

265 in the rear is what I was planning as well, do you have rolled fenders , I have Vb3 9.5 rear , the recommended size is 255-35-18. No suspension mods.

With Apex ARC-8 or EC-7 wheels you can run 1M size rear tires.

A basic tune brings more power to any N54 or N55 than the 1M has by a good margin.

No sir, i asked several Guys who run PSS 265's with stock suspension, no rubbing , no fender rolling required at all on VMR's or even Forge lines .

No fender rolling required, no camber plates. This is what happens when you use a wheel for maximum tire fitment instead of hellaflush/stance fitment. Go checkout Apex's threads in vendor area.

I'll be running 255/35/18 front and 275/35/18 rear Dunlop Z2 or Michelon PSS soon, but that will require front camber plates and some rear rolling, maybe some really thin spacers. Some others are already doing this.

I have done the math here, I am currently running 245-35-18 , total width of 24.8''
I can go with 265-35-18 and the total width goes up to 25.3"
I dont think this should rub, any input is welcome

I ran almost door to door with a 1M simply with a Cobb Stage 1 93 octane reflash. It was close.

Be sure if you change wheels that they have the same backspacing as what you measured. Is the tire centered by width?

25.3" is the total diameter by going an up size from 245 to 265. The difference is essentially half an inch increase in tire height , stock suspension should handle it.

why not just run stage 2 or something on the cobb? or do a custom tune with it? you can run a stock size tire even, just as long as it's a softer compound. then you'll be easily walking an M1 OR M3!! haha

Am on stage 1 sport and can't even floor it in 2nd gear on PSS tires i love the current power , it suits the mods i have, more power will be an over kill IMO. didn't dyno yet but power is way more impressive than my PPK1, My wife was literally screaming after few WOT's , 6th gear is as torquy as the 4th was before, am quite confident i'll walk on the 1M with the current setup.

You likely have more power with the Sport or Aggressive maps... From a roll you should have him.

Mostly it puts around 330 to 338 whp as per the dynojets i researched ( not much data on 1M since they're rare ). it's quite in par with a Stage 1 sport IMO

iv been in a 1m and recently tuned my 135i to stage1 aggressive with Cobb...
Im confident that my 135 would walk away from the 1M, even on stock tires... when i get some 265s out back it will be no match.
