Can we get smartphone integration in the 2009 1 series without the premium package??

Sure, that's the way I'm going to order mine. You just need the BMW Assist/Bluethooth and iPod integration options, that's all.

what does the smartphone integration give you over bluetooth (that you already have) and ipod/USB control (that you already have)... let me know!

You can use both music player and telephone by just plugging the smartphone in the socket inside armrest. Without it in order to play music you had to connect it as normal ipod.

I do understand we can't get smartphone integration alone we have to get USB and iPod adapter with it, but do we have to get BMW assist with it too ?
